WHO WE ARE
The TMS organization comprises an all-volunteer staff and is managed by an active board of directors. We are moms, dads, friends, and relatives of our namesake Miranda and community members in St. Lucie and Martin Counties Fla who want to make a difference in the lives of those who suffer from asthma and allergies. We come together from many different backgrounds and work tirelessly to support the community and mission that is Team Miranda Strong.
WHAT WE DO
We provide many community events and fundraisers to spread awareness and education on asthma and allergies and how to live with them. We have held or participated in health and wellness fairs, conducted workshops, and provide financial assistance to those needing help with the costs of their asthma and allergy medications.
We also give back to other community non-profits in the name of TMS, like Caring Fields Felines and the annual TMS Academic Scholarship Award at local High Schools.
Miranda's Legacy
Miranda was never diagnosed previously as having asthma and was a vibrant, full-of-life young woman who was destined for great things. She was not only beautiful and smart but also very kind. She showed kindness to others and animals in every way she could. She was a role model and leader among her friends and peer group.
This foundation is dear to our hearts as it honors our daughter, Miranda DeOnofrio, who passed away on November 18th, 2017, from an undiagnosed asthma attack. Our mission is to educate, bring understanding and awareness, and to help financially those in need with asthma and allergies so that they can experience the simple joy of taking a breath without thinking and to support causes that were near to Miranda’s heart.
